Cordelia led thane in, smiling brightly as she hurried over to the TV that was facing her bed. She flicked it on, as well as the Xbox, and popped in Halo 3, looking back to grin at Thane. She took two controllers and handed one to him.
Thane whistled looking around, "Nice room." He grinned and walked over to her taking the controller into his hands. He looked it over confusingly, "What do you do with it?"
Cordelia grinned. "Come over and sit on the bed, and I'll show you," she said, walking over and sitting down on the bed cross legged. She looked at the TV screen as the menu fro the game appeared, and pressed the many buttons on the controller, creating a sort of practice round for them. Or, in this case, for Thane.
Thane sat down onto the bed beside her looking at the screen confusingly. Then he chuckled, "Alright, if I keep looking at TV the way that I haven't seen it before, believe me I saw it. It's just that... first time seeing that." He pointed to the screen with his controller.
Cordelia grinned, and giggled softly. "It's okay, you'll understand it as we go along. Alright," she said as a split screen appeared, and their characters were placed in an elaborate building. Her character was blue, and his was purple. "Alright, so you're the guy on the bottom," she told him, turning to him and showing him how to hold the controller. "These two buttons make him move," she said, showing him how the joysticks worked. She then proceeded to show him the rest of the controls, pressing them as well to demonstrate how the characters reacted to the buttons. "Got it?" she asked when she was done, smiling brightly.
"That's awesome." Thane grinned looking at her and back at TV with shining eyes. Even though he was like a 17 years old, he felt like he is being a child when he first saw the video games. He nodded to the characters, "And what game are we playing exactly now?"
Cordelia giggled, looking up at the screen once more. "It's called Halo 3. The plot doesn't really matter though since this is just a practice round, but we'll play the campaign once you get use to the controls," she said, flashing him a grin.
"Ah, alright then. Shall we start?" Thane smiled brightly before he looked down at the controller and back at TV screen. He hoped that he remembered all the things that she told him or he will just lose even this practice round.
Cordelia nodded, and began moving around on the map, her fingers flying over the controller as she began playing the game, smiling brightly.((Skip to after they finish playing the game? XD I have an idea....))
Cordelia giggled as the game came to an end and she put down her controller, looking at Thane with an amused look. "I think I won," she said, though it was already obvious. She giggled once more, bumping her shoulder with his playfully.
"Oh, man." Thane sighed heavily pretending to be sad. He was a bit but he was glad that he got to play a video game. After few minutes, he looked at her and grinned, "So, what now? Another game? Maybe I'll win this time." Thane chuckled lightly as he crossed his arms and turned to peer at her.
Cordelia giggled once more, looking at him with a warm gaze. She tilted her head when he asked what now, and blinked, blushing a little. "Umm... well actually.... I have a question," she said, furrowing her brows a little as she looked up at him with wide eyes.
"And what will that be?" He looked at her curiously wondering if that question had nay connection with his family. He kicked himself mentally. He needed to stop thinking about his assassin family and get back into reality.
Cordelia swallowed nervously, trying not to blush even deeper. "Well, um.... What would you do.... if you really really really cared about someone, and they were in trouble, but you didn't know how to help them, or if they even need your help, or if they even want your help?" she asked in a rush, taking a deep breath when she was done, and releasing it with a sigh.
Thane frowned slightly at the question before he shrugged, "I don't know. I think it depends on what kind of person it is. If the person is nice, they will gladly except your help. But if they are mean, you know the answer. And again, it depends on what kind of problem it is. I would just ask them again and again and again if they needed my help. If they didn't, they do need it. So just give them few reasons and maybe they will except your help."
Cordelia nodded, biting her lip and gazing at Thane with a mixture of Concern and fear. Hearing what he had to say, snd meeting his family, she didn't know if she should tell him how she felt about him, and if she did... well the thought not only made her blush but it sent fear through her heart. If she admitted to him, who knows what his family would do? She pushed thay thought away as she managed a small smile that for the first time didn't reach her eyes. "Thanks, " she murmured, taking his hand in hers.
"You're welcome." Thane smiled at her brightly wondering why did she ask him that question. He thought that she would question like Would you like to play another game? or what-so-ever. He squeezed her hand gently before he let go of it and stood up stretching. Thane sighed and grinned at her, "So where are we going next?" He paused, "Or we can just stay here, if you want to."
Cordelia furrowed her brows, her smile fading a little, and she felt a little disappointed when he stole his hand away. But she managed a weak smile, looking away as she hopped off the bed to turn off the the TV. "We should stay here. Like I said... this is suppose to be relaxing," she murmured, sighing softly as she pushed away any more thoughts of his family. She turned, and smiled once more, crawling into her bed, and laying down with a sigh, staring up at the ceiling.
"Cordy, Cordy, Cordy!" Jaeda raced into the room, jumping onto the bed and pouncing on her. "Cordy!"
Cordelia jumped in surprise, and laughed, rolling around on the bed with Jaeda. "Hey, I was wondering where my sparkling little gem was," she chuckled, tickling her ribs. All worries of Thane disappeared as she played with her sister.
The young girl giggled, thrashing around on the mattress. "Miss you, Cordy. Where you been hiding?"
Cordelia chuckled, hugging her tightly. "Ah I've been busy with school, silly," she said, pulling away to tap Jaeda's nose with her forefinger. "I can't always be here with you," she giggled, smiling down at her with amusement in her eyes.
Cordelia shrugged. "Well, I have friends other than you," she said with a smile, glancing at Thane, before looking at Jaeda again. "I've been... hanging out," she said, cradling Jaeda in her lap now.
"You're my sister." The little girl pouted, cuddling into her chest. "There's no one to play with here."
Cordelia chuckled softly. "I'll try my best to come by more often then," she said, smiling brightly at her sister. She was so adorable, she could stay with her all day if she wanted to.
Thane watched two sister interact with each other and frowned lightly. How come his siblings aren't like this? Why are they all so murderous to each other and would love to see each other fail in something? He shook his head to himself and smiled at Cordelia, "Maybe I should go. Don't want to interrupt you two."
Jaeda squeaked, finally noticing the stranger. "Cordy, there's a man in here, why is there a man in your room?"
Cordelia blinked, looking at Thane. "You don't have to do that," she said with a soft smile. She then looked at her sister. "Jaeda, this isn't just any man. This is my very best friend, Thane," she told her, giggling. She then looked at Thane. "Thane, this is my little sister, Jaeda," she told him, smiling brightly.
"Pleased to meet you." Thane nodded to Cordelia's smaller sister who reminded him a bit of Flora. He smiled softly remembering her hyper and her peace making attitude. Thane looked around himself before he sat down into the chair beside the TV and sighed before he grinned at them.
Cordelia smiled, and nodded quickly feeling satisfied. But in that moment, looking at Thane, she suddenly didn't feel so good about her sister being around. She turned to Jaeda. "Hey.... why don't you run along? I'm sure Uncle Cato is bound to be around her somewhere," she murmured to her, smiling.
Cordelia placed a soft kiss on her forehead, sighing softly. "It's okay... I'll see you later, okay? I promise. Then we'll do whatever you want, okay? Now, go run along, and find Cato," she told her, smiling softly.
Cordelia laughed softly. "Jaeda...." she murmured, half warningly, and giving her a look, arching a brow.
Cordelia chuckled and shook her head. "Yes, I am. Run along, " she waved her hand, pretending to shoo her.
((Mmk ;)))Cordelia sighed and.turned back to Thane, offering and apologetic look. I have to tell him. I can't keep pretending, she decided, swallowing nervously.
((What should I do with Lorelei?))"It's okay." Thane shrugged smiling, "How old is she?" He asked crossed his arms. He wondered if she could be friends with Flora. Maybe it would be better after her Change.
((The one who Cato cheats with?))Cordelia blinked, and ran a finger along the sheets on the bed, looking down at it as she did. "Four," she said, smiling softly. But her thoughts were no longer on her sister. How should I tell him? Should I just say it or....? She glanced back up at him, catching his gaze for a long moment, and was sure there must have been a hint of sadness in her eyes, but she managed to mask it with a small smile.
((Yep))Four... Too young. Thane watched her for awhile before he noticed sad look in her eyes. Did he do something? Or was it something else? He frowned and walked over to her. He took a seat near her before hesitating about taking her hand. It won't bother her, right? Thane took her hand into his and then asked sincerely, "What's wrong?"
((Ummm I'm thinking Cato goes off to drink and then he meets here at the bar?))Cordelia blinked, looking at him a moment before looking away, down at their hands. She squeezed him softly, afraid he would pull away. She didn't know what to do. But she needed to let him know. Somehow... someway. She looked up at him, doubt clouding her eyes for a brief moment. She swallowed hard, furrowing her brows, and bit her lip. "Its not.... well... something wrong... I don't think at least," she mumbled, looking back down at their hands, unsure of how to say it.
((Which bar?))"What is it?" Thane asked frowning now. Maybe he should pull his hand away from hers. She had been looking a lot at them and maybe thinking why did he do that. He wondered if he could pull her into a hug which will probably freak her out more. So he didn't want to take any chances now.
((The night club bar I guess, but I have to put him there XD))Cordelia blinked, finally looking up at him, blushing softly. For a long moment, she just gazed into his eyes, feeling a small spark of hope rise up inside her. She didn't think about it before she did what she did next, she simply acted, her body compelling her into it as she quickly leaned forward, tugging him towards her as she planted a soft kiss on his lips. At first, she felt herself stiffen, shocked at her own actions but soon relaxed, her hand moving to caress his cheek as she let every emotion she had for him be released.
((Alright :D))He couldn't breathe. He couldn't take a breath or even let it out. Thane sat there frozen in his seat slightly shocked by the kiss. He thought that it was supposed to feel like everything was like in candy land: sweet and pretty with rainbows and unicorns. But for him it felt like world had stopped with his heart. Like the Change was all over again. Power surged through him like lighting bolt and left him buzzing with energy. After few seconds that seems like long minutes, his lips responded to hers kissing her back deeply.
((K and lol! rainbows and unicorns.... XD))Cordelia felt a sudden shock of pleasure and relief flow through her as he finally kissed her back, and she whimpered softly as a shuddered passed through her body, kissing him back just as deeply, her hand moving from his cheek as she ran her fingers through his hair, surprised by how soft it seemed to the touch. She placed her other hand on his chest, and moved closer, feeling her body tremble with delight. All the emotions she had been hiding deep down inside her suddenly flooded out, and in that moment she refused to think about anything other than him as she pulled him closer to her.
((XD First thing that popped into my mind about candy. And do you want Zefaria with Devon meet up later? Like much later?))So this how it felt like to be under spell of love. His brother told him about it some many times and he didn't understand it until now. For him, the kiss spoke about their feelings about each other. Maybe that's how it should feel. Thane pushed thoughts away taking a note to over think them later as he put his hands onto her waist pulling her closer to him. He shouldn't be wanting to feel her touch to badly, should he? One of his hands moved to the base of her neck holding her close to him.
