Everneath question

Hmm...I don't really know about Cole. He seems like a bit of an idiot at points but has his moments. I think there may be something more to Cole and that he may have some kind of back story.
Cole seems like the typical fantasy boy that the girl falls for in the end but I think there may be some depth to this character. It's the depth that's there that intrigues me and makes me kind of like this character, whilst I want to hate him for taking Nikki to the Everneath.
I think there's a book 1.5 for the series (can't remember what it's called!) that is about Cole exploring his feelings etc. and a second book should be coming out sometimes so, hopefully, more of Cole's story shall be revealed then...

I prefer Jack!
Mainly because he sacrificed himself.....I mean, if that's not love, then I don't know what is.
Besides, Cole only wants Nikki for selfish reasons.

I couldn't help liking Cole. I hated how Nikki was so mean to him. He just wanted what was best for her when it comes to the Everneath. He only tries to persuade her it would be better to be a queen than stuck in the tunnels. And if she's mad about being in this situation in the first place, it's her own fault.

I really like Cole. But i also like Jack. So confusing! But i have to say i liked Cole better than Jack.

We actually dont know whether Cole controlled her emotions to trick her into becoming his forfiet. But i also dont totally beilive Cole is out for Nikki for totally selfish reasons. I think he loves her in his own everliving way.
He is extremely attractive...more so than Jack.
its hard to like Cole because hes the antagonist at the same time. Tricky Brodi Ashton! We also know Nikki most likley will end up with Jack.
But im drawn to cole for the most inexplicable reasons. then i like jack because hes so sweet boy next door type. and i think if i really had to choose like i would be sucked into the tunnles if i didnt choose...i would have to go with Cole. for now.

I really like Cole and I totally agree that there must be more to his story than was presented in Everneath. Jack didn't become interesting to me until he second half of the book and now I'm torn between the two which is tough because they are kind of opposites.

Anyway, I really liked this book (more than I ever expected to) and can't wait for Everbound!

i love cole. I feel he is great character. I aslo felt he was the only smart character in this novel.

Jack did something very good in the end for nikki but nikki didnt really do anything productive all she did was stay with jack. She didnt even do what se said she was gonna do and spend her last month with her family. She was with jack and on top of that Cole was the only one looking out for her. He was giving her opportunities to get out of this tunnel situation.

A lot of people like Jack and I can't seem to get that. I mean he wasn't that amazing. Plus when Cole was singing and he made everyone start fighting because his heart was breaking for Nikki it made me fall in love with Cole even more. After the song, he was so drained because of his broken heart. Nikki saw it and didn't realize that the impossible had happened. Cole had fallen in love when Everlivings can't feel.

I loved Cole. So when I read the spoilers for the last book,I decided to skip it altogether.

I like Jack but I love Cole.

Yes, Cole has make mistakes.
But Cole is attractive, cole, arrogant and charming.
And I lobe him so much. I hade Nikki and I dont like Jack. I wish Cole the best and I don't know why...

Jack: nononononononono!!! He's too perfect and that annoys me like hell. Sure, he sacrificed, sure, he loves Nikki, but, REALLY? NO! He doesn't even have the smallest of imperfection and seems rather like a imagination.
Cole: yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes!! He's sinfully beautiful and arrogant, and I just have a thing for characters who are just the most scheming little villains/devils but falls in love with the heroine and struggles to find what he really wants. It's like Batman and Superman- sure, Superman is all-so-perfect that he doesn't seem human (probly cuz he isnt but just ignore that little fact for the sake of argument), but Batman's struggles and mistsakes and the things he did that he eventually regrets makes him just THAT much more lovable than Superman.

other than the arrogant, cool and charming vibe he has going for him :)

But when Jack did what he did in the end, I don't know, it seems like she's gonna end up with him...

but I feel insanely attracted to Cole! ughh... frustrating ya books *sigh*
