We've all had books that we were so excited to read. Ones that we've been waiting on for so long that you jumped up and down when you finally had it in your grasp. Ones whose covers or blurbs or authors or people got you itching to turn the pages. Ones that are part of a series and you waited a year for it to come out and the last installment was so brilliant that you just have to find out what happens next. Then, you finally get the book and read it. Was it great? No. It was just meh. It was a disappointment. We've all had those books? Which ones were yours?

I was all like, COOOL CN Tower on the cover! People with super powers! Yeah no, awful awful book, horribly written, intentionally, but it did NOT work
, the series ender killed my love for this series. The writing wasn't bad as it was something that happened that wasn't called for.
, a series with such pretty covers but this installment killed it. I won't even read the last book inthe series. UGH!

A lot of people love Unearthly and I am not sure why. I forced myself to finish it!!I just thought of two more:
, I didn't think it was so bad but I was extremely disappointed because I expected it to be as amazing as Graceling and waited so long for it too. Another was
, I honestly thought I would love this one but nope, I hated everything about it.
Really? I actually enjoyed Fire more than Graceling lol and I was apprehensive about reading it when I discovered it was different characters and settings since I really liked KatsaAnd Terri, you're not missing much from Rapture, the ending was beyond stupid
I dont know what it was, but I had a difficult time finishing it. I am reading Bitterblue now and I am liking it more than Fire, but not more than Graceling.
Graceling was my favourite and I had to convince myself quite a lot to try Fire because Katsa is the best. I didn't like it as much as Graceling, either. I'm hoping Bitterblue is it's 'return to glory' of sorts.
was a great disappointment.
and
. Seriously, what happened? I enjoyed the previous books in both series but these were just so disappointing. And it sucks that they were both the final book in a series -__-

is better. it was kickass and a bit gory though.
I think that is what disappointed me when reading GWDT, the fact that it was pretty slow and a little boring. It wasn't until things started to pick up that I started to really enjoy it. But later someone else made a good point: It is a crime book and with these type of books you can't just jump into things or else the reader will get lost. So I guess it makes sense. I am looking forward to reading the next one though! (:
@Karina- I loved the trilogy. supposed to be it will be 7 books I think. but the author passed away. Yes it's a crime book. mystery as well. Lisbeth Salander is my most favorite heroine. She's a kick ass heroine. the second one is more brutal. I couldn't imagine it. the third one is the most complicated though.
I loved her too!! Yeah, I did hear there is a possibility that he had written more books but was not able to publish them before he died and since his family doesn't have the rights to his work they cannot have been published or something like that. So if he was supposed to continue them does the trilogy seem unfinished?
I think there was something more about Lisbeth and Mikhael.. but I don't know if they are going to be friends or more than that.
Not really unanswered. I think trilogy is enough.. the only thing that is left unaswered is Lisbeth and Mikhael's relationship.. the rest.. all okay.

So many people were disappointed! I still want to read it but I'm not going to expect anything.

Same. Heaps of people are telling me to not read this but I still kinda want to. I'm probably going to regret it but still.
The Heist Society I couldn't finish the rest of the series. The only things good about them are character development and stealing. The cheesy oh-my-cousin-is-hotter-and-curvier-than-me-I'll-never-have-a-boyfriend problem was so, ugh. If the romance was more meaning and real, I'd probably finish this series.
