Kristi, I hate to keep being a pest but I hit the wall of shame last season for this very thing. The book I would like to read for this task is Those Across the River . Of the versions of this book that are listed, would this be the correct one to link to even though I will listen to the audiobook? I don't see a mass market listing. If it is the correct version then the page count is correct for this task right?

Yes, this would be the version you want to link and yes, the page numbers will work for this task. Hope you enjoy it!
I have apparently the same problem as Sheila: I have a book which edition I could fit in this task. But the edition I own is only paperback and when I tried to look on GR if the MMPB had a number of pages that could fit the task too, I found out there was no MMPB of that book listed on GR.
The book is A Long Way Down (the link leads to the edition I own, 272 pages, ISBN: 0241950244).

Actually, the challenge rules state that you should link to the copy you read EXCEPT in cases where you're reading a Large Print edition, an ebook, or listening to an audiobook. Since you own and would read a paperback edition, you should link to the edition you own just as you did in the post above. (Sheila was just checking because she usually reads large print editions, if that helps make sense of things ;-)).
ok so if I read The Longest Way Home: One Man's Quest for the Courage to Settle Down, which has 288 pages, if I add them together: 2+8+8=18, BUT if I add 1+8, that is 9. Would that work?

I read Diary of a Wimpy Kid- the third wheel that just came out this month. The problem is that I read a paperback edition that I got through scholastic with 217 pages. But since paperback is technically not out yet, none of the link options would show the correct page numbers. And the hardback page numbers wouldn't work for this task. Any way I can get it to count? I really want these 10 points! :)

But since paperback is tech..."If you can find a link that verifies that number of pages in your edition, you could try asking in the librarian's thread for someone to add the page count for you. Otherwise, no, sorry, the page numbers on GRs needs to match the task in order for you to get credit for the book.

September, October, and November are the 9th, 10th and 11th months of the year. Read a book in which the numbers in the page count, when added together, total 9, 10 or 11. For example, a book with 253 pages would equal 10 (2+5+3 = 10). General rules for determining page count of ebooks, audiobooks, and large print books apply (see rules #5 and #7). Required: State the number of pages in your post. Readers of alternative formats (ebooks, audiobooks, and large print books) must link to the mass market paperback or other edition used to establish number of pages.
