I have read quite a few Kristen Ashley books, but I think that my favorite is Heaven and Hell:)
Oh, and Mystery Man was excellent too!
I have read almost all of her books and love them all. i dont think you can go wrong with any of hers.
I've just discovered this author and I'm hooked. I even have a friend of mine to join me in my addiction. So far I've read the Colorado Mountain series and I'm halfway through the Dream series. I hope to have more of my friends hooked by the time the holidays roll around.
I am a huge KA fan also and have read all her series; no paranormal and just started on the Burg. Right now I am having a little trouble getting into it...I am hoping it picks up soon
Anything & Everything Kristen Ashley. Dream Man Series is great!!
Rock Chick series just as good !!
K.A will not disappoint.
Rock chick series were awesome, i love the colorado mountain series, dream series where good also, i readt knight, loved it!!! fixing to start the burg series.
I LOVE Kristen Ashley, her books are AWESOME! Does anyone else noticed her used of British slang in her books? Drives me CRAZY, but I still love her.
You're not alone, LOL. It does give me pause but I can overlook it. I get tickled thinking about these rugged men, with their Mid-Western accent using British slang. It cracks me up.

If you love Kristen Ashley's books, I just started reading another similar author, Pamela Clare...her books include strong leading women with to-die-for alpha-males...**sighhhh**!
I agree Nance! I have read most of KA's Books and just started the I-team series from Pamela Clare! AWESOME so far!
KA is the only author I have ever emailed. If I'm feeling blue she is the one author I can read that is guaranteed to make me feel better--I call her books "Break Glass in Case of Emergency" books. My favorites were the original Rock Chick (Lee was my favorite H) and Mystery Man. Two things about her books that make her different from most other romance writers. First, even though the h falls for the H she can still get turned on by hot other guys--not enough to want to do something about it but enough to give her a little sizzle. The other thing is there is very often another hot guy in pursuit of her who is heartbroken because she falls for the H. Doesn't that just ring your bell? And KA can put more emotion in a book than anyone.
I just finished The Gamble. I didn't like it as well as her earlier ones--didn't like the protagonists as well and as she continues to age her heroines their antics seem stranger and stranger. I hope she doesn't continue to make them even older. I can't see forty-something women screaming and jumping up and down and stuff.
Kathleen, I'm going to assume that you aren't even close to approaching 40. As a woman who has hit the marker and kicked the door in on it, I've got to tell you aging doesn't really change who you've been. Experience does that. I've learned that the older I get, I become more distilled in my essence. Also, you learn that holding your tongue and sitting on your hands just doesn't get the job done. I have more fun with my girls now than I ever did as a teen or even in my twenties. Try re-reading an author that you loved when you were the age of the characters and see how you view their antics now.

Only past experience can come with that confidence and belief in yourself. I don't think that there is a book that I have of hers, that I didn't like - obviously liking some more than others. And, I also like how she ages her men - so us older chicks can relate a little more...lol!!
I love Kristen Ashley! I have read most of her books and I'm so sad because I haven't found another author like her.My favorite series in order is Dream Man, The 'Burg, Colorado Mountain, and Rock Chick.
The ghost series is also good but not as good as the 4 series above. I loved Knight too!!

Maybe I'm too old to remember. :-[ That was the year I had a torrid grand passion and I thought I remembered it well.
Actually, I think it was the h's shouting that really struck me as young. But, maybe there are women who shout at that age.
The thing about trying to find books like KA's is that there is not only romance and suspense but her books are also so funny and very warm and "feel good." I've not found anyone who is able to write something with all of those things. Because the humor and warmth is as critical to me as the suspense and romance, I think the Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels are closest to KA's because Evanovich's novels have the humor and the "feel good" sense in addition to the suspense. The romance is obviously not as good, especially since it's behind closed doors. But Ranger and Morrelli are hot. Ranger is even alpha. Does anyone know of any writer who combines all of these elements?

There is the alpha male, the strong women and some action. I find it pretty good, hope you like it!
LOVE Kristen Ashley! I started with the Rock Chick series, then read Dream Man series and now reading Colorado Mountain series and just can't get enough! I am so in love with her characters and love the fact that they are in their late 20s (rock chicks) and older (colorado mountain, etc.). I am so over YA books and all the drama that comes with them. No thanks, get enough of it at home, don't need to read about it in my spare time! LOL!Nance wrote: "If you love Kristen Ashley's books, I just started reading another similar author, Pamela Clare...her books include strong leading women with to-die-for alpha-males...**sighhhh**!"
Nance, I agree. Pamela Clare's books are excellent! Fantastic stories, characters, writing. Must read for sure!
I love Kristen Ashleys writing style!! Her alpha male characters complement her female charecters so well! I especially love her spicier series with Knight Sebring! And Motorcycle Man is also one of my favorites

There is a lot of heart without an abundance of sappiness.
I'd also recommend Colleen Hoover. Her characters tend to be younger adults, and she'll make you cry once in a while but her stories tend to be uplifting overall. It'll suck you in and mess with you a bit, but you'll enjoy the journey.
