I wonder if any of you have ever gone to Pulpfest in Columbus, Ohio? I live there but I have never attended and want to know if it is worthwhile.

I just had a baby but I am going to try to make it for a day just to check it out and see a few friends. I love stopping at the tables with dollar books because you never know what you'll find. At that price you can afford to pick up a few quirky things.

Sound terrific. Wish I could attend.
Congratulations, Samantha.

Congratulations @Samantha :)PulpFest looks way too cool to pass up, and only a 4 hour drive for me, so I'm definitely going. I'm hoping to find some old Gold Medal, Lion, Avon, Kozy, etc vintage paperbacks, and maybe some Manhunt magazines.

Do people dress up there like they do at other conventions? You haven't lived until you've stayed in the same hotel where there's an anime convention. My husband said to me - is it Halloween and no one told us?

Wrap yourself in crime scene tape and go as a victim.

And don't worry - I won't tell anyone you have a Jimmy Buffet outfit.

Too late.
I might have a trenchcoat so all I need is a soft fedora hat and a cigar to complete my disguise. I like the idea of a pulp themed photoshoot.

If you wear a toucan beak, no one will know it's you.

Don't forget the pocket flask, and the dark, brooding, haunted-by-my-past facial expression.

HAH! LOL
No people don't dress up, unless you count t-shirts with pulp art dressing up. Last year there was a Manga convention going on at the same time so there were kids wearing squid hats sleeping in the halls.
