Thanks Evander. One of my pet peeves are weak, whiney heroes who get their asses kicked time after time before making the -- gasp-- surprise comeback. So it's nice to hear from someone who agrees.

Great series Mr. Conroe. Big thanks from me. A breath of fresh air. I read a lot in the genre and, let me tell you, I'm beginning to get irritated by the usual "hero": reluctant, whiny, always the underdog, bruised and battered, etc. So, thank you for the badass named Chris Gordon. Looking forward for more adventures with him.
