I LOVED the "Beekeeping for Beginners" short! I liked being able to read a bit of their beginning through Sherlock's POV! Any plans to write more? :)
Thank you for accepting my friend request, Laurie! I just finished up Pirate King and Garment of Shadows which were my Christmas pressies from loving family. I love the Mary Russell series and the Kate Martinelli series. I am so glad to have discovered your talented writing and the ability to write complex characters and plots.Hope your new year is starting off well.
Sophia
Thanks for accepting my friend request, Laurie! You can check out my attempt to read 100 works of classic literature in under 6 years here:http://6years45000pages.blogspot.com
Hi LaurieHow lovely to catch up with you here. Thank you so much for Friending me. Will I see you at Bouchercon in Oct?
Laurie, I was wondering if you would do a story Russell story about Portland or Pendleton Oregon's Underground tunnels. I think that would be an interesting storyline.
I had to dash to Barnes and Noble before it closed to get the 2nd book in your Holmes series! I imagine I got some looks crouching by the book shelf, (in typical Holmes on a mission pose) and hunting vigourously before I finally found it's hiding spot. The first one threw me into a time warp and I looked up and it was magically past 6 o clock. How did you manage to make Holmes so likable, yet keep his character so true? Thanks for accepting my friend request and for the great read! Brett is my favorite choice for Holmes too.
OH wow, thank you for your friend invite! I am honored and touched to be your friend, here or anywhere! I really do love your novels, and cannot wait for more!
Oh, and, I don't Twitter....If I did that on top of myspace and facebook...well, people might starve!
I had a really nice time at the Boston Public Public Library last night! I must learn not to pre order on Amazon...They ask me if I want to, and in my bounding enthusiasm to have you latest book hot off the press....but not to have recieved it in time was a bit disapointing...next time it's indy bookseller for me! Anyway....OH BOY!
I hope you don't mind, I'm trawling your read-books list for recommendations. (My to-read list is expanding at an alarming rate.) Since you're in Fes, may I recommend Fatema Mernissi's "Dreams of Trespass: Tales of a Harem Girlhood"?
Thanks for the friend invite. I love the Mary Russell books and am on my 2nd time through them getting ready for the next one. Can't wait. I hope Audible releases it the same day the books are in the store.
You've reminded me that xmas is over. Time to pay my library fine and check out a new round of books:) I've still got quite a few of yours on request...
LaurieThanks so much for the friendship!
I've gotta read your books!
I love Sherlock and Miss Marple.
Best....Linda
Hi Laurie,Just finished Language of Bees and loved it. Didn't want it to end knowing I have to wait for the next one.
Hi Laurie,Thank you for the friend invitation, and greater thanks for your books. Your Mary Russell books are all amongst my absolute favorites, and now that I'm reading the Martinelli books, I see those are wonderful also.
Thanks again,
Rachel
Thanks for the invitation!A friend of mine recommended Beekeeper's Apprentice last year after I went through a bad breakup, and though I went to it a bit grudgingly, I found the series a balm, and a beautifully built world in which to let my brain have a different kind of exercise than the usual post-split running in circles. Beekeeper's Apprentice especially was a repeated restorative for me, and is a familiar joy that I cheerfully turn back to now that life is on more of an even keel.
So thanks very much for that as well; I'm really looking forward to the next story.
Hi Laurie,Thanks for the invite! I simply adore the Mary Russell mysteries & am so happy the series is continuing!
Hello. Thanks for adding me as a goodreads friend. Love your Mary Russell mysteries. Happy reading and writing!
Hi Laurie! Yes, I love your books, especially the Mary Russell series, which I recommended to another GoodReads friend a month or so ago. very nice to meet you! :)
Laurie,Thanks for befriending me. When I wrote that review of your book I never thought it would lead me to being one of your friends on goodreads. Again thanks!
