Had a great time at my book-signing this morning at Books by Design in Villa Rica, GA. The weather couldn't have been better!

Woo-Hoo! My Milledgeville Misfit book tour launches today!
Today my final draft of Milledgeville Misfit flies off to my publisher. That's it - no more changes, no more edits, no more second guessing if I should have added or removed something. It's done, it's recorded, it's complete. The paperbacks roll off the printing press on January 31st, and the title should begin popping up in places for purchase.
That marks the end of a five year process from inception, writing, shelving for a few years, re-visiting, editing, editing, re-writing, editing, submitting, first galley, editing, editing, re-submitting, second galley, editing, adding, editing, and final submission.
Whew! It really takes a lot to birth a new book. Now that I've released it into the world, it's time to focus on the others that have been conceived and desire to be delivered.
No matter how many rounds of edits you do, you ALWAYS find something you missed the first hundred times.
Woo-hoo! Finished my latest edits for Milledgeville Misfit one day before deadline. YAY! The novel is rolling off the press on January 31, 2012! Look for the announcement here on Goodreads!

I cannot even begin to express how much fun I'm having while writing "Hunter & Chase". It's like a breath of fresh air, the beginning of a romance, the invitation to the ball. It came out of nowhere; unplanned, unexpected and unscheduled, yet totally awesome. I don't even know what's going to happen next. I find out as I'm writing it, and I love these kinds of stories best.
My schedule is so full right now, I would have never even contemplated the idea of a new story, but when it comes it comes and time is to be made to accomodate it, and guess what??? It happens.
Another book is being launched into the world. Now to Polish another one eagerly waiting their turn to shine.

I seem to find myself in one of those "I don't know what I want to read" kinda moods. I've tried a few different things, but none of them do anything for me. It's like having a mid-night craving, but you don't know what it's for.
I'm upset the new Jane Eyre movie isn't playing at a theatre near me.
I really want a Kindle 3G w/Wi-Fi! Do you know how hard it is to hold a paperback with both hands while you're on treadmill? A Kindle would fit securely hands-free right in front of me.
My workout regime has been kicking my butt for the last couple days. That's a good thing, right?
My book "Keezy's 10 Awesome Rules to Teenage Dating" is being made into a screenplay by a movie producer in Atlanta this summer! Keep an eye out for the book publication some time later this year.
Though I thouroughly enjoy getting lost in a great adventure, I hate the duldrum slide that follows. I've got too much work to do I don't have time to get lost in another adventure to fill the void.
