Daphne Hi Chris.
Messaging you again about a SASA online event. About building a community of Ancient Studies professionals who are not members of an academic institution (because the latter don't consider us to be scholars). SASA= Save Ancient Studies Alliance. See "events" at saveancientstudies-dot-org

Daphne Hi Chris.
Posting a link to a talk I found most interesting. Reading into cuneiform archives from Lagash to discover what responsibilities/powers the queens/king's wives had. The original is on the website of SASA (Save Ancient Studies), but I post the youtube link so you don't need to sign in. I can't post the complete url, but go to youtube and add the following. The conference starts at 1:04:30. Daphne

Apocryphal Chris Thanks Daphne - this is right up my Mom's alley, actually, so the timing is perfect as I'm in gift mode!

Daphne Hi Chris. I had a quick look at your bookshelf to see if you had read anything by N. Holmes. She's the author of a series of mysteries featuring the historical personage Lord Hani (ancient Egypt). She has also written some adventure stories set in... ancient Mesopotamia ! I'm definitely going to give her a try :-)

Apocryphal Chris Cheers, Daphne!

Daphne Hello, Chris. I just discovered that you have co-authored a book, Mythic Babylon. Congratulations ! Raising a toast to you.
