"since I'm now finished with this, I understand the similarities with most or all of the "kill the big monster" books. many books like this are very exciting, but if you read too much of 1 type of book, you'll get bored. anyway, all these books have 1 similarity: the main character always wins impossibly, due to some external reason, or due to pure luck.
