Yet this book was written by Nick Stone, the creator of Dear Matin. Both these books fall in a similar category that I like. One thing I appreciate about this is the main character being a young, hardworking and smart African American woman. Seeing someone of color with such an important role in a book was uplifting. One small aspect of the book I didn't like was how distant Rico was towards “Zan”. He just wanted to help her because he liked her and in the beginning she somewhat pushed him away....more
