"Jackpot" is about a girl and a boy, one rich and one poor. The guys name is Zan, the girl Rico. Rico is Poor and lives in a mostly white rich community and goes to school with mostly rich kids. All throughout the book it talks about how she feels as "Jackpot" is about a girl and a boy, one rich and one poor. The guys name is Zan, the girl Rico. Rico is Poor and lives in a mostly white rich community and goes to school with mostly rich kids. All throughout the book it talks about how she feels as though she doesn’t fit in and shouldn’t be friends with Zan never less date him. the center of this book is about looking for a lottery ticket, but it becomes much more than that. It shows true points all throughout the book of what’s it’s like for someone going through poverty I chose this book because it was recommended to my by my teacher. One thing I appreciated about this book was how it gave the view of Rico, it talked about how she felt like she didn't belong with Zan because she was poor. One aspect I did not like about this book was that items in the book had their own chapter to me this didn't really make sense. Overall I loved this book and would totally recommend this to a friend....more
