"I don't get the point of any of this. There's no plot, no stakes, no emotions in the characters to identify with. The first 2.5 hours of this audiobook is like a sitting in a linguistics/history class about a world that's not real, that we have no reason to care about. This book is failing hard on the "So what?" scale. I'll give it a little longer, but this might be a DNF." — Apr 06, 2018 12:54AM

You have to write when you’re not inspired. And you have to write the scenes that don’t inspire you. And the weird thing is that six months later, a year later, you’ll look back at them and you can’t remember which scenes you wrote when you were inspired and which scenes you just wrote because they had to be written next.
