Stephen King
“He’s a hothead and I’m a coward. Perhaps that’s why we’re friends—we fit around each other’s wrong places, make something that’s almost whole.”
Stephen King, Wolves of the Calla

Malala Yousafzai
“It is my belief God sends the solution first and the problem later,”
Malala Yousafzai, I Am Malala: How One Girl Stood Up for Education and Changed the World

Ryan Hall
“We need to keep this in mind as we attempt to change the way we see failures in our lives. Rather than being discouraged by them, we need to see them as weights that are making us strong enough to succeed.”
Ryan Hall, Run the Mile You're In: Finding God in Every Step

Jean Kwok
“Always know your own weaknesses,” her father told her. “Know them better than your worst enemy and no one will be able to pull the wool over your eyes.”
Jean Kwok, The Leftover Woman

Ryan Hall
“I’ve come to learn that sacrifices seem like sacrifices only at the time you make them. Sacrifices are things God is calling us to give up for our own good. If you think about it, it’s not really a sacrifice to act in a way that will improve yourself. I like to look at sacrifice as a forest burning down. Fires are messy, dangerous, and even catastrophic. But they’re essential for clearing the forest of dead underbrush and preparing it for new growth. All of us have things in our lives that need to be burned up so something new and beautiful can grow in their place. We just need to change how we see these sacrifices—from something we have to give up to something that is going to make us better people who are going to live out God’s plans and purpose for us.”
Ryan Hall, Run the Mile You're In: Finding God in Every Step
