Marije said: " this world is sooo beautifully crafted and atmospheric to read about. i could feel the cold of the shade and the heat of the burn, could hear the rolling of the loff and the screeching of the dragons. i loved the little hints that were sprinkled thro this world is sooo beautifully crafted and atmospheric to read about. i could feel the cold of the shade and the heat of the burn, could hear the rolling of the loff and the screeching of the dragons. i loved the little hints that were sprinkled throughout. to be honest, most of them weren't even that little and that's what made it fun to read on and see what the significance of that obviously planted piece of information was. i loved that we got to spend so much time getting to know Raeve before we ever officially met Kaan, getting to know the world through her eyes without him putting rose-colored glasses on her blue eyes.

i loved the diary entries, especially the one from Raeve. i loved how Kaan is giving Rhys vibes (iykyk). i loved how this world uses parchments larks to communicate. i loved how some signs or parchments larks were sketched unto the page. i loved the way this book has SUCH an extreme open ending with so many paths to follow and loose ends to tie up: (view spoiler) makes me excited for the next book :)

do i have some gripes with this book? yes, absolutely. i am a hater after all. but this story does not deserve the hate (keep reading if you wanna know anyway hehe)
