I must say the timing of being able to read this book is quite ironic. I bought this book few months ago wanting to finding insights to teaching and raising my daughter in a Christ-like way, not just with love but also discipline (which is the part II must say the timing of being able to read this book is quite ironic. I bought this book few months ago wanting to finding insights to teaching and raising my daughter in a Christ-like way, not just with love but also discipline (which is the part I lack of). And later, I found myself got pregnant with our second child which had taken me a lot of time away from read (beside spending time the first one and got tired with no intention to read). And now I finally got time to read through this book is because my miss miscarriage, which has put me into bed and away from everything.

While reading the first half of the book, I found words and sentences to bits by bits healing my heart. As when we see how Israelites failed and how God has always kept his promise and give them hope and future, I know that our God is such a faithful and merciful God, who is our helps in our mothering roles regardless how many times we failed.
So I am quite exciting to read the second part, to see how Christ has been unfolded in the concept of motherhood. However I believe regardless what topics we try to explore, Christ is still the center of everything....more
