"Rereading for my completionist brain seeking to put down reviews and thoughts for all books I have read and recorded here.
Also, I don't remember much from my first visit. But so far, I feel I am enjoying it far more than my first time." — May 07, 2026 12:02AM

"I knew we were going to get a good slap of good classic British humour from Richard Osman but the quip about politicians from the driver in St. Lucia nearly did me in.
It's funny because it's pretty much true and if you can't laugh about it you'll cry. And humour is often a good reminder of how absurd so much of this world can be." — 15 hours, 13 min ago

"I can only abscribe insanity behind why I own a physical copy. That and I had once had an era of reading sports books.
Maybe this will make me feel better about how much the Leafs sucked this season. Whether it makes it a good or bad book is yet to be determined." — May 02, 2026 09:06PM

“How can you regret never having found true love? That's like saying you regret not being born a genius. People don't have control over such things. It either happens or it doesn't. It's a gift - a present that most never get. It's more like a miracle, really, when you think of it. I mean, first you have to find that person, and then you have to get to know them to realize just what they mean to you - that right there is ridiculously difficult. Then... then that person has to feel the same way about you. It's like searching for a specific snowflake, and even if you manage to find it, that's not good enough. You still have to find its matching pair. What are the odds?”

“It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.”

“I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.”

“If you want to write a negative review, don't tickle me gently with your aesthetic displeasure about my work. Unleash the goddamn Kraken."

“See, that’s the difference,” Mauvin said. “I suffer a loss and people console me. Royce suffers a loss and whole towns evacuate.”
