It’s a very interesting book that manages to cover a long period of time with great contrasts between the old simple life and a more modern one taken by a politic upheaval. The author plays with both the first and third person, proving different points of view from different characters and herself as the narrator. The imagery and fantasy within this novel are subtle and well proportioned and leave you wanting more. It is a must read for anyone That wants to learn more about South America, although the name of the country in which the story takes place is never provided.
