“Doktor Husák nepatril práve k zhovorčivým ľuďom. Ale istotne si všetko dobre pamätal. Viem si ho predstaviť, že si rozpráva vtipy jedine s Petrom Karvašom. Karvaš, hoci vo veľkom písal humor, bol tiež chladný racionalista.
Kedysi dávno, to som v redakcii pracoval ešte ako elév, sa v spoločnosti rozprávali vtipy a on zauvažoval, ktorý by nám povedal. Nakoniec vytiahol malý notes a listoval v ňom: tento nie, ani tento... Ak Husák vôbec niekedy rozprával vtipy, možno mal vo vrecku podobný zošitok.”
