"Ya know? Reading aloud to yourself not only wears out your voice, but also helps retain information!

Not a book I typically read but it got recommended to me on a depressing doomscrolling scenario one night and I bought it on a whim. Reading what the theory is? I’m excited to learn more. Also, a great alternative to depressive doom scrolling!" — Oct 11, 2026 12:06AM

"I’ve made it to “Book II”!

It’s definitely s l o w. Goodness me it’s fun when they’re in the Shire, but it feels like it takes ages to get to Bree. Also…Tom Bombadil…good lord. Hobbits love to sing enough as is but man he really made the pacing of everything feel much slower.

When they finally do get to Bree though, oooh it’s so good. The book definitely picked up for me there." — Oct 11, 2026 12:25AM

Now before you go writing angry letters to me, dear reader. Dear, sweet reader. Beloved, beautiful, darling reader that I cherish. You paid for this book. And for you to do that I believe puts you an intellectual cut above the rest.
