"Gentle and Lowly should be read carefully and slowly. Much like the Puritans, Ortlund loves so much, is careful analysis of a crucial biblical topic that is written to grow your love and thankfulness for Christ. I don't know if Ortlund intended for his book to work like this but as I'm reminded of Christ's love for me, I'm reminded to love others.
