high performers almost always indicate that they feel well rewarded regardless of income level. They also rarely feel their work is “thankless” or that others don’t appreciate how hard they work.
Interesting...not sure why this would be true...someone can be intrinsically motivated, love what they do, feel that they're doing important work, and still feel the struggle of not making ends meet, putting a stressor on needing to make more, creating a feeling of insufficient income.
