It was, she’d found, only in her favorite books that the world worked out exactly as it should. Family and Brayden filled the lonely places. Work helped, and books healed.

100% TRUTH!!! Fell in love with books when i was 3 and that love has never wavered, nor have books ever let me down. They have gotten me thru good times, long road trips, lonely and insecure times, heartbreak, disappointment, fear, single parenthood, 3 rounds of cancer, childhood ups and downs, teenage years(it was the best of times; it was the worst of times-- lol, wonder if Dickens knew he perfectly wtrdescribed the highs and lows, the euphoria and woes, the brash confidence and the crippling insecurity that often occupy the same kid in the very same moment... the sheer exhausting drama, internal and external-it's a wonder anyone makes it out alive)... Books saved my life and my sanity. Still do.
