Our ego often gets in the way of true friendship because we feign the good stuff, the things that allow us to simply get by in life without having to work too much. We don’t always want to be challenged because truth-telling and honesty can hurt. The true power of good friends is that they will respect the fragility of our hearts, but also require us to step into our own truth with grace and honesty. Surround yourself with people who uplift you, but who also speak truth to your bullshit.”
