I'm not one much for Christian literature. I like literature and Christians, but so much of it is poorly written, too pie in the sky, fluffy. This book is not so. It is the memoir of Beth Moore, author of well known Bible Studies and a popular women's speaker. She takes the book from early childhood to early elderly. In many ways her life was very hard "knotted-up". She had difficult relationships. All the while her career was taking off and became huge, and came crashing down. She understands the human condition so well. The quote above came from the day she sat vigil at her dear mother's sickbed. In the entire book she writes what needs to be told, but not more. Oh, and lest I forget, Beth Moore is very funny. This is a book I cried and laughed whilst reading. In spite of all, God has held her fast, and that is the crux of this book. I heartily recommend it!
