"Rangers lead the way". That phase stuck with me for years after reading the first book in this awesome series. The series follows a crew from Earth on a shake down cruise in a one of a kind starship when something amazing happened...they make first contact with another human like race. The action that follow is direct and intense at times and a bit unrealistic but the writing is superb. Sadly, this is a another series I only got halfway through before life happened. However, I'm currently rereading the series with the hope to get through it this time. I hope you enjoy the series as much as I am.
