"Currently listening to the audiobook. The writing is top notch. Particulary enjoying that so many stories are baby themed. And while I am 6 months pregnant, I have read zero pregnancy books so far but so many baby horror related ones. Go figure.
The narrator James Patrick Cronin is ELITE."

Ursula K. Le Guin
“Science describes accurately from outside, poetry describes accurately from inside. Science explicates, poetry implicates. Both celebrate what they describe. We need the languages of both science and poetry to save us from merely stockpiling endless 'information' that fails to inform our ignorance or our irresponsibility.”
Ursula K. Le Guin, Late in the Day: Poems 2010–2014

Junji Ito
“I am a horror maniac who prefers to stay at home.”
Junji Ito

Ta-Nehisi Coates
“The classroom was a jail of other people’s interests. The library was open, unending, free.”
Ta-Nehisi Coates

Olivia Laing
“What does it feel like to be lonely? It feels like being hungry: like being hungry when everyone around you is readying for a feast. It feels shameful and alarming, and over time these feelings radiate outwards, making the lonely person increasingly isolated, increasingly estranged. It hurts, in the way that feelings do, and it also has physical consequences that take place invisibly, inside the closed compartments of the body. It advances, is what I’m trying to say, cold as ice and clear as glass, enclosing and engulfing.”
Olivia Laing, The Lonely City: Adventures in the Art of Being Alone

Dorothy Parker
“The cure to boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity.”
Dorothy Parker
