" Mockingjay was probably my least favorite out of the three. However, it is still a five-star rating.

Katniss is really an inspiration but you also feel bad for what she has to go through. Katniss knows she is powerful and can win against the capital. “you can torture us and bomb us and burn our districts to the ground, but do you see that?” – “Fire is catching! . . . And if we burn you burn with us!”

During the “Seventy-Sixth Hunger Games” Katniss went through a lot, and didn’t just want to be a piece in their games. Which is what Peeta had said in their first games. It comes full circle. Love the foreshadowing.

Katniss really did care and love Peeta, even if she didn’t realize it. “After your first games, I thought the whole romance was an act on your part. We all expected you’d continue that strategy. But it wasn’t until Peeta hit the force field and nearly died that I – That I knew I’d misjudged you. That you love him. I’m not saying in what way. Maybe you don’t know yourself. But anyone paying attention could see how much you care about him.” (Finnick)

Katniss knows Peta really well without even realizing it, she really does love him, and cannot lose him. “You’re a painter. You’re a baker. You like to sleep with the windows open. You never take sugar in your tea. And you always double-knot your shoelaces.”
Even though Peeta at the end of Mockingjay is still having trouble keeping control of himself, and is still having flashbacks. He is still there to protect Katniss. He will always be there to support her and protect her from her nightmares.

Peeta has always loved Katniss, but Katniss was playing it for the games. She thought it was always for the games, but didn’t realize it was something more than that. She always felt guilty, because she knew Gale loved her. In the end, she knew it was always Peeta.

Now that the Games are over, and everyone is now safe they can live their happy lives.

“You love me, real or not real. I tell him real.” ...more "
