"This is my second attempt reading Toni Morrison! I got half way through Sula a few years ago. I struggle with her books. I’ve read a lot of similar books, like with Alice Walker, but Toni is darker and it makes me worry about how anyone can survive any of this, more frequently than I worry in other books.
