While he is leaving he had asked Horace to come with him. Horace later beat some warriors along with some local people and Will, Halt, Princess Cassandra, and Alyss. One thing that I visualized was that the main character was throwing loud smoky grenades-like objects that made an ear-piercing noise and at the end was able to bring down a cave where a bunch of outlaws spreading fake religion were hiding.
