"A theme I've noticed in this book is the suppression of speech and assembly. I believe Orwell is using his writing as a warning to the dangers of blocking free speech. In the book we see that the ruling party has banned collaboration, free thought, and outright blocked or altered information. In a society that is brainwashed, and where whistleblowers are silenced, the result is complicity rather that creativity." Feb 10, 2021 12:41PM
