I cannot adequately express how beautiful this book is, the characters, the plot, the imagery and the way Sarah J. Maas refuses to rush her writing. To some people a slow burn story is their worst nightmare and I usually think that is true. But this book I cannot express how sensational the writing is and how mesmerising Sarah J. Maas has made this book. A Court of Mist and Fury stole my heart and fort the time I read it I couldn't think about doing anything else apart from read it.

This series is phenomenal and I genuinely think that I am going to have issues reading anything other than the ACOTAR series, detachment issues are definitely coming my way. I feel so engrossed with the characters and have such hatred for the ones that we are supposed to hate and such love and passion for the characters that we are meant to love.

(Some plot spoilers are below in the next paragraph but then isn't in the rest!)

Apart from the way Sarah J. Maas gives us such a beautiful and vivid picture of the world that now has my heart and all the characters that I now hope and wish are real, the way Sarah J. Maas shows us the complete juxtaposition of the toxic and frankly brutal relationship of Tamlin (I really want to punch him in the face) and Feyre and the genuine love and wonder of Rhysand (the best character and the best looking) and Feyre just emphasises how good Feyre and Rhysand are as a couple.

I am already having withdrawals from this book and am already half way through the third, I started this series thinking it would take me a good 3 weeks to read in time for A Court of Silver and Flames especially with work but no I finished the first book in 1 day, the second in two and now I am on the third and am over half way and it is my second day of reading. I am genuinely obsessed and it has really made me question how dull my life is compared to being a Fae and saving the world from a Cauldron. I am late to reading this series but better late than never! Read it, you will not regret it! ...more "
