I notice that this book is about mortals and casters and it reminds me of the Twilight series, which I have read but it’s nothing like Twilight. Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl wrote a powerful love story that knows that relationships are hard when two people that are so different. The story line did kind of follow Twilight’s New Moon because here Lena; the caster girl runs away from the boy whom she deep down loves Ethan. Hmm sound familiar? Edward running from Bella. And of course the lovely mortal goes and saves their love in the end. Clique, but I feel like the authors added in so much relating to everyone around the lovers then just the lovers themselves like Twilight, that is probably why I loved this series more.

The fact that some of the chapters in the book too just took forever to read because they were so boring just explaining so much that you already know, but then there were the good parts that make me wish that they could remake the movie series, because the movie of Beautiful Creatures is nothing like the book.

I did however fell in love with Liv, the Keeper in training. Her bubbly british personally made me feel happy, because she was making Ethan happy, because the whole time reading these books made me so attracted to him so I didn’t want Ethan Wate to be all down in the dumps. And with Lena being annoying caster brat, how could she just be so selfish saying she’s going dark all the time, super annoying. It made me feel very upset how the authors kept having Lena repeating this to Ethan again and again “You belong with someone like you and I belong with someone like me, someone who understands what I’m going through” (230-231). Like come on girl, he would do anything for, he risked his mortal life to save her, if in Beautiful Chaos she doesn’t realize how great Ethan is, I’d probably stop reading the book for a while, then pick up later because of course I want to know what happens in this one and the last one.

Overall I did feel compelled to keep on reading because I do like Garcia’s and Stohl’s Ideas for this story line, they both are amazing authors and I really do enjoy their work, and how I can really feel for their characters. ...more "
