Some thoughts while reading this book:
- Jean adding "fathers" to his list because of Rheamann and Wymack like actually made me tear up I'm not going to lie. Rheamann making Jean say out loud that he didn't deserve what the Ravens did to him. His team being known for avoiding violence, and him punching Zane in the face without a second thought. Just, Rheamann.
- Jealous Jean is something that is so personal to me. "They are not your partners" omg please when will they kiss. I know it's going to happen but PLEASE they both deserve happiness. Also I just need Wilshire to try to give Jean a car to get him to stop seeing Jeremy and for Jean to verbally tear him a new one.
- Foxes mention but at what cost. I was on the edge of my seat when the Foxes vs Ravens game came on. Me and Jean both pressed up against the tv trying to pull Neil to safety. Don't even get me started on Andrew getting a red card and a 5-game ban for trying to protect Neil when the Ravens fully just tried to kill the two of them on live TV like that is some crazy work. (Kevin staying with Neil the whole time.......... it's enough to make a grown man cry)
- AARON DRIVING THE MAS. I love having Jean and Jeremy as narrators but I miss the Foxes so damn bad. Andrew and Aaron finally starting to be actual brothers is so important to me.
- Aaron being cleared of all charges! We knew he would but goddamn I can't imagine how awful that was for everyone (Everyone knows now, Bee). I cannot stop thinking about the picture Jean saw in the news of Kevin going up towards the courthouse and Andrew leaving and Neil stuck in the middle, unsure of who to follow. That shit is just so powerful. Also Nicky getting into a violent screaming match with his rat-bastard parents in front of the court?? Good for him.
- Zane still being on Jean's list of Ravens he actually liked. The Ravens hated and abused him, but Zane BETRAYED him. Damn.
- "You don't have to trust him. I do" to "That ill-bred child is not my friend" within 10 seconds is so fucking funny. They're siblings, your honor.
- CAT AND JEANN. LAILA AND JEAN. JEREMY. AND. JEAN.
- RIP Barkbark, you will be missed.
- Jean telling his friends that he wanted Kevin to die so he didn't have to keep his promise and continue surviving like actually killed me.
- Andrew and Jean interaction!! Didn't know I needed that but it didn't disappoint.

I loved this book. I was literally reading it during my breaks at work the day it came out, but ended up dragging it out a few days through sheer will alone in order to properly savor it. I'm so excited for AFTG6 and for the reread that will happen to prepare for it. I expect to have Jean full of love and finally finding peace in the 6th book... ...more "
