I started reading this books because a friend of mine recomend them and I was a littele exceptic about it because of the number of pages this book has since it's a contemporary book. W How can I explain how much I love this book and their caracthers?
I started reading this books because a friend of mine recomend them and I was a littele exceptic about it because of the number of pages this book has since it's a contemporary book. When I started reading you have this tropes so cliches like the bullied girl and the captain in the rugby team,how he ruined her 1st day in her new school, and the least you expect is the turn of events and drama that follows this singular couple with their family and friends.
This book starts right where the 1st book ends, that means that we have the Lynch family in the middle of a family argument, one that ends with Shannon in a hospital bed fighthing for her life in Ballylaggin while Johnny is recovering from an emergency surgery after a rugby game in Dublin.While Johnny is high in pain medicines he remembers some conversations he had with Shannon and discovered she has been hit and abused by her father he even called the police to her house, when he told his family no one belives him because they think he's alucinating because of the medicines, when he comes back to his city and learns what happens to Shannon he made her the promise that no one would ever hurt her. After this they became a couple and she became one of his biggest suporters while he's recovering from his surgery.
Another thing that I absolutely adored about this book was all their carachters, like seriously all of them are my family I want to keep them in a glass case and to protect them.

Gibsie its what its sometimes called the clown of the group, the one always making everyone laugh and making jokes in the most inapropiate ways. He's that unapolagetic and true to himself person who is never ashamed of anything he says or do. He has nick names for everyone and for me that's so special and cute.

The friendship between Johnny and Gibsie that feels more like a bromance it's literallly perfect, you have this pair with an unconditional friendship that follows you everywhere no matter the ilegal of the circunstances. Rumors has it that Johnny's dad might have helped this duo to stay out jail.

Then you have Shannon,Claire and Lizzie, this 3 are friends since they were younger but lost contact for years becase the were in different schools. They reconect when Sannon start studying at Tommen, this trio resume their friendship as if they never left. You have the sweetheart (Claire) and the fierce but borderline on rude one (Lizzie), both fighthing their own battles but at same time always there for Shannon.

Claire and Gibsie are another special thing in this book, both are in denial of their mutual crush but can't keep away from eachother, they're full of banter and shamless flirting, when you add shannon and Johnny to this pair, this group of trouble makers became something else.

Then we have Joey, he's Shannon older brother and basically the person who keep their family afloat while their parents slowly broke it.He had to take care of everyone while he was broken already, you have a 18 years old guy with the responsabilities of a an adult taking care of his family, working, studying and having a girlfriend. He keeps everythhing to himself that end it up in him going into drugs to try to forget a little of the hell he was living. I like his relationship with Aoife so much that I seriosly need their book.

One day Shannon called Johnny in the middle of the night, something happend that end its up with
Johnny saving Shannos little brothers, preventing what probably would have been the biggest tragedy in the Lynch family.

Special mention to Johnny's parents Edel and John that took care of the Lynch family after everything that happend, giving them the love and food that those child need. Those childs deserve to be just childs and I love this new oportunity for them. Edel has a special piece of my heart because she's what I aspire to be someday a nurturer to my family and a career driven woman at the same time.

Another think that make me swon and melted my heart, was the relationship betwen Johnny and baby Sean. This 2 are the cutest pair alive, every scene of this 2 was a balm for my heart that I didn't knew I need.

This is already long enough so I'll finish saying that I love Shannon and Johnny relationship so much, they're so perfect and cute. They might be young but after everything that they fight togheter I believe they really are soulmates and deserve a happily ever after, my strong girl and my star rugby player, both of you're mine to keep forever and ever.

This might be the longest book I read this year and still I'll never have enough of this group. I seriously can't wait for the next books. ...more "
