"My book reminds me of The Mortal Instruments series. They both have a sense of adventure, and in this chapter the characters just drew a lot of attention to themselves using their powers. They kind of got scammed and then took it badly; sending a "security personnel" on their tracks. They ended up taking him out (we don't know if he survived) in front of a lot of people. "Something big is coming, but I don't know what yet. Today I learned more about Anathema's childhood, and how she read The Book instead of other books that normal children read with apples and trees and such. I'm thinking The Book is more demonic then is being let on. It says it's history of her family from way back in the 1700s, but considering she helped swap babies at a convent I think she might have some darkness." — Feb 10, 2021 09:18AM
