Jenny was able to relate meals with one’s relationship with God. It should be savored and not rushed in order to enjoy its goodness. The meals also remind us that before the events that happened in the Bible, meals were shared. We therefore should honor every meal as it commemorates all the feasts he shared with us, and it also shows His love for us. We do not share the same menu, as God made a personalized menu for us. We should always remember that we cannot have the same responses to ur menus but then trust that we are not alone in facing our particular serving.

Sufferings can sometimes drive us away from Him, but then we should always bear in mind that He is always with us.

What I like about this book is the reflection at the end of each chapter. It gives you the opportunity to reflect on everything you have learned from each chapter.
It’s puzzling and at the same time amusing that 7 is the number you always see in the Bible from the 7 feasts to invitations. Jenny tackled all these in her book. Let me add to the list the 7 deadly sins.

This book is also an eye opener as to how we should attend feasts prepared by God. I like the part wherein one should be pleasing to the eyes of God when attending His feasts. Nowadays, people just do what they please and come as they please when they come to feasts. This book shows us how we please god by being the best guests when we attend his feasts.

I hope everyone gets to read this book in order to feel in our heart that God is always with us in times of trial and in times of jubilation. Jenny gave examples of menus served to the people in the Bible and to the present . They suffered, but God made everything wonderful for them in the end. God only wants the best for us.
