I have watched both the TV series and the movie more times than I can count, and I thought since watching both that this story itself could not get any better.

I was incredibly wrong.

Even though this book was written in the late 1700’s and early 1800’s, the writing was not hard to follow at all. Of course I did need to use the notes in the back of the book for some words and phrases, but other than that, I found it easy to follow along.

I didn’t think Mr Darcy’s love for Elizabeth could get any more profound, since the show and the movie did an extraordinary job of showing it (Colin Firth and Matthew Macfadyen were made to play Mr. Darcy), but again, I was wrong. His love for her has no limits and no bounds, and it is beautiful to read about.

This is the greatest love story of all time. One that doesn’t age poorly as the years go by and instead becomes more and more loved and remarkable. Truly a wonder of the world. I cherish this book like no other.

I think I’ll reread this many more times in my life, probably 10 times a month, who knows. But I will never get over this first time reading it, and I will forever wish I could read it for the first time again. This was really such a wonderful and a once in a lifetime experience.

Elizabeth Bennet is THE female main character of all main characters. Her courage and strength of her worth and identify are truly refreshing to read about. I wish I was more headstrong and confident like her.

And all of the characters in this book felt so real and not a part of Jane Austen’s marvelous imagination. I laughed, I grew anxious, and sometimes I got mad right along with the characters themselves. I love this book.

I couldn’t put it down. Everywhere I went, my nose was in this book. So addicting and captivating.
