“إن اللعبة التي نلعبها هي أننا نحاول أن نتظاهر، ونتظاهر أننا، لا نتظاهر. إننا نختار أن ننسى من نحن، فعندئذ ننسى إننا قد نسينا من نحن حقا! إننا ذلك المحور الذي يدير العرض بحيث يمكننا أن نختار الطريق الذي سنسلكه. إننا نحن ذلك الضمير الذي تنعكس من خلاله الصورة المثلى للكون، ولكن في محاولتنا للتكيف مع ما يقابلنا من مواقف نختار بإرادتنا أو رغما عنا أن نصل في النهاية إلى نتيجة سلبية. لكي نتجنب العقاب أو خسارة الحُب؛ اخترنا أن نتنصل من قدرتنا على الاستجابة متظاهرين بأن الأمور تحدث رغما عنا، أو أننا لم يكن لنا يد فيها وأننا قد غُلبنا على أمرنا. إننا نقمع أنفسنا واعتدنا على هذه الحالة التعذيبية للنفس، وهذا الضعف، وهذا التردد. ولكننا في الحقيقة أحرار ونحن مركز للطاقة الكونية فإرادتك هي قوتك الحقيقية فلا تتظاهر بأنك لا تمتلكها، وإلا فلن تمتلكها.”
