"I want to put it aside because I don’t related much to the cultural struggle of the time for the Vietnamese but it’s such an easy read and it feels like reading a diary. It’s horribly sad but the poetry woven in is gorgeous. I wish I would have highlighted the quotes from the beginning because I know I’ll never read it again.
