Many years had past for Ignora Gilgrim, better known as Igni, since she had traveled to Phandalin for "adventure," if you can call it that. She prides herself on simplicity and the utmost sane appearance and interactions with all her customers--both living and dead. A simple (but rather eccentrically large) wooden sign is suspended from metal links above the door. The shoppe name is listed out in numerous languages. "Enshrined In Spines" is etched there in Common, Dwarvish, Elvish, Gnomish, Druidic, Infernal, Draconic... and is that Abyssal?!? As you read down the list, the fonts get smaller and smaller, as if the sign was not properly planned out to have the shoppe's name listed in so many languages. As you enter the shoppe, you are greeted by a large Wild Fire Spirit shaped as a Phoenix, who fiery teleports directly in front of you slightly sieging your eyebrows in his sudden appearance. Bernie greets you warmly (get it? You're on fire) and he deposits a scroll into your hands and teleports off into a backroom, once again setting alight hair and cloaks. Alerted to the sound of Bernie teleporting and the sudden smell of smoke, a very short tiefling woman rushes into the room and instantaneously extinguishes the flames with the smallest flourish. The woman bows her head slightly. She is extremely short for a tiefling, nearly the size of a halfing--standing at just 5 ft tall. Her skin is a rich violet with sparkling green eyes glinting with a hint of mischief, accented by a rueful smile that tugs at the right side of her mouth before she smiles outright exposing pristinely white teeth and particularly sharp fangs. Only her hair gives away a suggestion of her age--midnight black curls flow down to her waist with a significant portion of grey. Peeking through her mess of locks are two curling black horns, similar to rams horns. Standing before you is Ignora Gilgrim, the shoppe keeper. Igni, smiling widely, greets you and welcomes you to her book exchange: Enshrined In Spines. "What can I help you find?" ...more
