i dont know if anything will top the original red rising for me, but this book was a triumph. i imagine wrapping up a trilogy is a difficult feat, but brown did it so nicely. it’s one of the few times i’ve finished a series and didn’t think to myselfi dont know if anything will top the original red rising for me, but this book was a triumph. i imagine wrapping up a trilogy is a difficult feat, but brown did it so nicely. it’s one of the few times i’ve finished a series and didn’t think to myself that it all went to shit. my poor sad, selfless darrow. he finally got what he wanted and what he deserved in the end. so many years of being used as a tool and symbol for others, he finally found resolution in himself and his friends. i just love a series where everyone gets what they deserve in the end (except for jackal, jackal can fucking rot and should have done the devils dance for hours!!) i’ll end with my favorite line from the series, although it was spoken by a less than favorable character
