my favourite character is, of course, victor vale. hes just a genius. also hot. yes. hot. you definitely start rooting for him a lot more once you find out eli’s goal and why he’s trying to do it. he’s just such a complex character that you get so invested in and (despite him being a morally grey character) has sympathy for other people. oh and he also kinda reminds me of aaron warner as well, except aaron definitely warms up to people alot easier than victor. i have no clue why, he just does. love him.

eli ever, on the other hand, is definitely my least favourite character. i hate him, in fact. he’s the biggest hypocrite who tries to play god by getting rid of all the EOs. he’s presented as the “hero” in parts of this story and uses serena to manipulate people into thinking he’s brilliant and amazing. he’s not. i hate him. he’s probably ugly too. anyways

serena was hard for me to judge. she’s definitely always had that charm about her that’s led her to having that ability but i couldn’t tell whether i liked her at the end. her and sydney’s relationship was also very interesting and i kinda wanted to see a lot more of it. i wasn’t very surprised when she let sydney go towards the end (i like her for that). i was always hoping she’d come to her senses sooner and realise that eli was wrong but it never really came. so i’m not sure about her.

mitch was my second favourite character. he’s meant to be this really tough criminal but he literally has a soft spot for chocolate milk. I MEAN COME ON you’ve just gotta love him.

overall, this book was so well written and i don’t think i’ve ever read something like this before? but that’s a good thing obviously. 10/10, 5 stars. i CANT WAIT to read vengeful! ...more "
