"This is a 172-page book. I am only on the 23rd page and have highlighted/annotated plenty of passages because they struck too many chords. It begs the question could there really be such a person, that disconnected and detached? These are all from the writer’s perspective, as recipient of the emotions — the lack of it, rather. The level of detachment is frustratingly raw." Jan 05, 2018 03:25PM

Neil Gaiman
“May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art -- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.”
Neil Gaiman

Frank Zappa
“So many books, so little time.”
Frank Zappa

Barry Lyga
“The world pretty much sucks most of the time. But the point of life isn’t to live in a world that doesn’t suck. The point is to try to make it suck a little bit less.”
Barry Lyga, Goth Girl Rising

Haruki Murakami
“Why do people have to be this lonely? What's the point of it all? Millions of people in this world, all of them yearning, looking to others to satisfy them, yet isolating themselves. Why? Was the earth put here just to nourish human loneliness?”
Haruki Murakami, Sputnik Sweetheart

Milan Kundera
“Two people in love, alone, isolated from the world, that's beautiful.”
Milan Kundera
