The characters are beautifully complex and loveable, par Niclays Roos who for some untold reason I despise with a burning passion but somehow empathise with. The love between Sabran and Ead was consistent, frustrating, heartwarming and at times heartwrenching. I looked forward to their chapters most because their love was realistic despite it carrying out in a book of mythical creatures and magic(or should I say siden) . It had pain,sorrow,longing and adoration, everything you could possibly wish for. It pained me when I was reading the last few pages, though it was not ideal the ending was perfect. You couldn’t alter it to make it anymore so. There is so much more I could ramble on about this pulchritudinous book. I loved reading it, I cannot wait to read it again in the future and read more of Samantha Shannon....more
