"Worst opening line I’ve ever read:
“In July 1959 Francis Crick, the codiscoverer of the DNA double helix, took a psychedelic trip on peyote. Not directly – his experiences with hallucinogens lay in the future – but through the power of poetry.”
How wanky is that" — Sep 16, 2026 02:30AM

"Finished the Sisyphus essay which is basically what I wanted to do.
Camus is a fantastic writer, and the idea of the absurd man is pretty convincing. But I struggle to agree with his initial point on which the rest of the essay is based on, that life is of no consequence.
I think maybe it’s a reading that I don’t fully understand, which is why I struggle so much with it." — Aug 30, 2026 11:34AM
