A loved one’s death wasn’t a onetime thing that you had to endure. It was an endless cycle. A cruel Groundhog Day that burned away at your heart and soul until there was nothing left but scorched flesh where they once had been.
It was good to see someone else say this. Through losing a sibling I’ve realized that you don’t just grieve once and be done. It’s a constant battle and some days continue to be harder than others. Sometimes the sadness is so big and other times it’s there but it’s not so heart wrenching.
