This novel by Julia Quinn, is the third in the Bridgerton book series. Set in regency London this book focuses on the love life of Benedict Bridgerton, the second Sibling. Attentions from his mother have turned to him and his brother Colin “the third sibling”, since his older brother Anthony and younger sister Daphne married.

Julia Quinn is the master of historical romance and she’s done it again with this book! A retelling of Cinderella “got my attention immediately!!” And plays on all the heart strings with love at first site fantasy, raw emotions of mistreatment and slavery and again the loving and beautiful family quirkiness that is the Bridgertons.
It was hard at times following Sophie and her life and the emotions that pull at you along with it.

The masquerade ball however is where it all turned around and it was love at sight “or feel✨”. At midnight she runs away leaving a glove and two years pass until they reunite!!!
“Two years!😩” and Benedict doesn’t recognise Sophie as the girl in the silver dress but as a the housemaid. They never forgot each other, they dreamed of each other ever since that night but Sophie accepted it was just that a dream she could never have. So begins the torment of the rest of the book, however Benedict Ofcourse can’t help but fall in love with Sophie and feel he is betraying his ghost and dream, he never quite let go of.. and she can’t tell him who she is, at the risk of her heart breaking.

I loved this book!! Finished it within 24hrs and am continuously obsessed with the stories of the Bridgertons. Julia Quinn is yet to disappoint!!
If you are a hopeless romantic, this book is for you! Actually this series is for you 💖👏🏻
