The 'stranger' embodies the concept of the absurd--absurdism. I always find the clashes of the absurd and the mundane intriguing. Those consumed with the mundane cannot see the world as anything but. They will disregard the entropy of the universe before the mere consideration of parting with the rigidity formed with collective thought and conformity.
